Palesa Suthane Nominated for NACA 2026 Outstanding Curator Award
Palesa Suthane, our senior curator at the BNAP Foundation, has been nominated  for the Outstanding Curator Award at the 2026 National Arts and Culture Awards (NACA), joining fellow nominees Bridget Phakathi and Tshegofatso Seoka on a list that recognises the essential role curators play in shaping and elevating the arts.   The nomination reflects Palesa's dedication and vision, both of which have played a defining role in shaping the Blessing Ngobeni Art Prize into what it is today. Her curatorial work has helped give form and direction to the prize, supporting its mission of platforming South African artists and strengthening the country's contemporary art landscape.   We couldn't be prouder to see her contributions celebrated on this stage, alongside all the nominees being honoured for their vital work in the sector. The NACA Awards take place on 21 August 2026, with the ceremony broadcast live on SABC 1 on 22 August.
